We have raised 7,700 meals for Middle Tennessee so far!

This is the last weekend to donate and come by and see the Nashville Davidson County Holiday Lights Winner of 2011. The rain had everything in water at the beginning of the week but everything is out of water from the rain and we are open for business.

Let’s see if Gill’s Bright Lights make it a record year!

Thank you for everybody who has donated cans and cash! We had no idea what to expect and it has truly been a blessing.

2011 will be a Christmas to remember!

Second Harvest Update

We probably saw 300 cars on Saturday night alone. It was amazing. It is amazing to be part of such a giving community. The donations for Second Harvest have been such a blessing! We have raised 4,500 meals for Second Harvest and hope to do more. Please come by on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and bring some canned food! We will be here with Candy Canes for you!

Award Night

Tuesday night we went to the Award Ceremony and it was wonderful meeting the wonderful people who work so hard on their Christmas Lights! We are proud to be a part of such a hardworking and giving group of people with the Christmas Spirit!

 

Morning Line

Wednesday morning we were asked to be on News Channel 5+ Morning Line. We were on the show for the whole hour! It was so fun. The show went through all 5 regional winner videos and had to comment on all of them. They were all so creative and different this year. One thing in common we all have is that we are all crazy hard working Christmas Light People. You can check out the 5 regional winners on Channel 5 here.

Thank you to everybody who came by this weekend to check out the lights! Friday Channel 2 News came out and we were on the 10:00 News on Friday night! Friday Night was also the judging for the Nashville Davidson County Christmas Light Competition! Talk about being nervous! Sunday night Channel 5 News came out and filmed us for the a feature on Friday 6:00 News!

This weekend we raised $125 for Second Harvest! We collected more cans also! We had so many generous people stop by this weekend. We also have to give a shout out to the limo companies.

We added a locked money box to the food donation box for cash donations. It will be emptied every night.

Check out Channel 5 News at 6 every night this week to see the 5 Regional Winners! I have more pictures and I will post next.

And we want to give a special big THANK YOU to the neighbors of Pinwheel Drive. They have been fabulous!

This week was the Nashville Davidson County Christmas Light Competition Judging week. Monday night we learned that we had won our District. Wednesday we learned that we won our Region for the first time. Tonight (Friday) we finally made it to Countywide Judging. Winners will be announced next week. Thank you to the judges for their donation of canned food for Second Harvest!

Regional - You have been Judged County Wide You have been Judged

Over the week we have collected $26 and 111 items for Second Harvest and tonight we collected 10 more items and $48 for a grand total of $74. This means Gill’s  Bright Lights and our giving fans have donated 404 meals for Middle Tennessee in only 9 days!

Another surprise was that Channel 2 News showed up out of the blue and we might be on the 10:00 news tonight!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by tonight and donated! Let’s feed Middle Tennessee!
